According to various previous studies and investigations, it is said that today life

has taken a fairly considerable speed, as time and epochs pass, patience

seems to run out, in such a way that the more speed there is in the subject, the

more entertaining and dissatisfied it becomes as we seek to see what follows

after a video, a photo, listen to an audio in a whats app message, etc.

This phenomenon has been called zapping, derived from the word zapping,

which has to do with the constant change from one channel to another.

Thanks to this phenomenon, platforms such as tik tok are born, where the vide-

os should not have a long duration, but only a few seconds where it only shows

the climax of the video without any prior context.

The serious consequence of this technological evolution is that chronic anxiety

has been triggered, especially at an early age, including childhood. This has re-

percussions on social, work and cultural life, since short-term jobs, temporary

relationships, just moments that cover an instant need and not in the long term.

Speed is a variable that is constantly readjusted to increase the sensation of

novelty of the system and acts as a catalyst: going fast prevents you from see-

ing the landscape but generates a change effect and increases the adrenaline.

It is expected from life that each step is just as easy and fast as it is to change

frequency; but reality offers poorly tuned channels and projects blurry images.

And when the machinery screeches due to excessive speed, conflicts between

work and personal relationships appear. The motto “nothing in the long term”

has some drawbacks, since social ties normally take time to develop

and the short term weakens them.
